Transportation

Our diving Center is 130 km from Macedonia Airport outside Thessaloniki which has international direct flights from most European capitals daily in the summer. Buses scheduled to Ouranoupoli stop on request at the hotel entrance. There are alternative routes from Thessaloniki if you are using your car: via Polygyros or Arnaia and Vrastama if you fancy a scenic mountain road and via Egnatia autoroute, Stavros and Olympiada for speed.

Time

Athens time is 1 hour ahead of Central European Time zone and 2 ahead of Greenwich. Greece along with the rest of European Union uses Daylight Saving time and advances the clock one hour around March, few weeks earlier than the States.

Currency and current

The official currency in Greece is the Euro so people from outside the Europe Union should change other currencies in Banks or exchange offices during working hours.

Electric Current

The standard electric current is 220 Volts AC (50Hz) so appliances from North America need a transformer and British ones an adapter.

Tourism Police Station

The Tourism Police in an integral pat of Hellenic Police(ELAS), consisting of men and women especially trained and competent to offer tourists information and help, whenever they have any problems. They are also competent to solve minor differences between tourists and enterprises.They all speak foreign languages. Tourism Police operates an emergency telephone line on a 24hour basis (just dial 171 any day, any time, from all over Greece).
